The Louisiana Public Service Commission decided at its Business and Executive Session of 20 August 2025, in Order U-37425 dated 29 August 2025 and effective immediately, on Entergy Louisiana’s application for generation and transmission resources to serve a single customer in North Louisiana. Entergy stated on 20 August 2025 that the approval allows it to build three combined-cycle combustion turbine plants tied to Meta’s Richland Parish data centre, two there expected online in late 2028 and one at Waterford by the end of 2029.
